Registration for New Students
For each new student you plan to register, please download the appropriate Registration form, New Student Application, Letter of Recommendation, Commitment & Expectation, and the Excelsior Handbook.
All new families are required to complete a pre-approval interview with our Directors once all forms have been completed and submitted. See downloadable forms below.
Students and parents should read the handbook before signing the Commitment and Expectation form. After completing all required forms for each student, please mail them, along with the applicable registration fees, to Excelsior at PO Box 3116, Irmo, SC 29063.
Interviews will be scheduled once we have received your completed registration information.
Registration will not be considered completed for a student until all forms are received, including applicable registration fees.
Tuition is due by the first day of class. Tuition payment plans may be arranged at Orientation by paying the first month and completing a tuition payment plan.

Registration Fees
- Registration Fee: $100 per student
- Late Registration Fee: $130 per student (after June 1st)
- Change Fee: $25 per change (after registration)
Academy Tuition (K4-8th Grade)
- Academy Tuesday Core Tuition: $810
- Academy Elective Tuition: $455 per class
- Early Drop-off & Study Hall: $175 per child
- Wednesday Fine Arts Program: $695 per child
- Academy Thursday Optional Program: $810
Tuition & Fees: High School
Registration Fees
- Registration Fee: $100 per student
- Late Registration Fee: $130 per student (after June 1st)
- Change Fee: $25 per change (after registration)
High School Tuition
- High School (1 day/week classes): $495 per class
- Study Halls: $135 per period
- High School Bundle (Any three classes): $1,340
- University Model (American Literature, American History, Ethics): $1,340
- Honors fee: $65 per class (paid to teacher)
- Lab fee: $65 per class

Payment Policy
Excelsior will send an invoice for Tuition Payment by June 1, 2024.
We offer two options of payment.
- One lump sum payment of the entire tuition (most cost effective method)
- Ten monthly payments of tuition cost plus an additional fees.
Families will need to enroll with FACTS in order to make tuition payments. There is a one-time FACTS fee of either $25 (for lump sum payment) or $55 (for monthly payments).

Withdrawal & Refunds Policy
Once your child is enrolled, if you wish to withdraw your child from enrollment at Excelsior, then you must email Excelsior the child you are withdrawing and the reason(s) why.
Our refund policy is as follows:
- If a child is withdrawn before June 15th tuition will not be charged.
- If a child is withdrawn between June 15th and July 15th the family will be billed and held responsible for 50% of the tuition fee.
- If a child is withdrawn on or after August 1st the family will be responsible for 100% of the tuition payment.
No refunds of student tuition or release from remaining student tuition bills will be given except for the following reasons:
- Death of a parent
- Loss of a job (parent)
- Moving out-of-state or beyond a 50-mile radius
