What a Week at Excelsior Academy Looks Like

One of the questions families often ask is, “What does a typical week at Excelsior look like?” The answer is that Excelsior is designed to work hand-in-hand with homeschooling at home. Our programs serve students from K4 through high school, with academy options for younger students, high school college-preparatory classes, and a Wednesday-only fine arts option.

On campus days, students attend teacher-led classes, engage in discussion, and enjoy learning alongside their peers. At home, families continue the learning process through assignments, reinforcement, and parent-led follow-through. This rhythm allows students to benefit from both classroom instruction and the personal investment of homeschooling.

For younger students, that may mean literature, history, and fine arts studied from a Christian worldview. For older students, it may include college-preparatory coursework, honors-level opportunities, and extracurricular activities. Throughout the year, families also enjoy community life through field trips, student events, and family activities.

We love this model because it supports both academic growth and family involvement. Students gain structure and encouragement, while parents remain deeply engaged in their child’s education.
